Dear Data Diary – The Database Manager
I can’t believe another year has gone by, but what I can tell you, except nothing changes. We’ve been undertaking an experiment in Freud’s definition of insanity when it comes to CRM, namely doing the same things over and over again and expecting the outcome to be different.
So I thought I would make some resolutions to plan how we might make more out of our CRM system. I will:
- Identify a small pilot group of key clients and create some really useful reports that the marketing team and the partners find useful
- Ask if I can go on a sales course so that I can develop an internal sales campaign to convince users that CRM is a powerful tool to support the firm’s wider business objectives
- Ask if I can attend Business Development meetings between my BD colleagues and partners so that I can learn a bit more about the context in which CRM data might be used.
I’ll keep a diary to keep a track of how I get on, wish me luck.
